A lively drive westwards, past Kolibari and its endless olive groves, brings you to the heavenly beach of Falassarna. Open your eyes and immerse yourself in a dream: snow-white sandy beach, turquoise-colored sea! Undoubtedly Crete’s champion beach and the tenth best in Europe. Jump into the cool water and enjoy the pure Caribbean atmosphere in one of the numerous beach tavernas.
Marvel at the Tyflos valley and admire Kommolithi, one of Crete’s most bizarre landscapes. Small hills of soft clay created by erosion invite you to touch them.
Another highlight of the day is the Pnevmatikakis family winery. Taste wine and raki directly from the producer and take a piece of that holiday feeling home with you. The guided tour and wine tasting, which includes five wines and snacks, are free of charge.
